Thank you Brandon Boyd for, well, everything.

Dear Brandon Boyd

I heart you. I want your puppies. I like you so much my English goes to poo. Not only are you responsible for songs I love, but you also draw such pretty things. Too much. It's just too much.

Thank you Alexandre Farto for your street-art-that-adds-by-taking-away.

Now, I could waffle on about how you destroy in order to create and how this is a common theme in art, but waffling is pointless. It wastes time. It seems silly not to get to the point right away and to circle round and round in circles (as one does when one is circling). A crow flies straight… As does an arrow… We should bear this in mind when we waffle. To waffle or to beat around the bush, as they say, is inefficient and in this day and age where convenience is king, efficiency is key.

So, instead of waffling, I'll say this: You blow things up and this blows my mind. No, seriously. I saw your work. My brain exploded. I had to wipe away the blood and brain matter from my screen in order to see more of your work. There's a stain on the wall behind me. Bleach doesn't work. Awesome.

Thank you Holton Rower for your wet-paint-sculpture-art-thinga-majigger-that-makes-me-want-get-undressed

Dear Holton Rower

If I were with you when you created these, I would roll around in them. I would fling off my clothes in full view of everyone and take a running leap onto the floor. It may hurt. A lot. I would then nuzzle the seeping, contorting colours. I would try taste them too. People may stare. And point. I would make paint angels. You may hate me. But, being smeared in the awesomeness that is your running-paint-sculpture-live-art-thingy would be worth it.

So thank you Holton Rower. You make me want to become a rainbow and that's very PC.

Thank you Bruce Mackay. Happy Valentine's Day.

Dear Bruce Mackay

A poem for you -

This Valentine's Day,
Don't romp in the hay,
rather make your way
to see the work of Bruce Mackay
in the Revolutions Skaaaay -
teboard Shop on Long Street in Cape Town.

Seeing as this is the day of super cheese, I thought I would rhyme. Or at least try to. Sigh...

I also like your Munny for the "I Want Your Munny" exhibition, now happening at Toitoy, 49 Kloof Street, Cape Town. You call it "Wing-man." I think that's funny. Because boys can be monkeys.

Thank you Bruce Mackay. And happy Valentine's Day.
